Netbasic Skiing Trip Day 3: Too Many Drinks
1 Comment Published January 20th, 2009 in Holidays, Skiing, Work.Again not much to report really, everyone had a good day’s skiing, more snow’s been falling and I’ve been working on blogs.
Some of us ventured out to the Spar Shop to get some bits for lunch as the food in the bars here is quite expensive at the moment, given the exchange rate. That said Jon still managed to spend the best part of 35 euros on rubbish.
When we got back to the chalet I decided to try and make a snow Maurice, and gave up after almost freezing my hands off (note to self, wear gloves next time)!
As the afternoon became the evening, we started listening to random tunes from my music collection; Sii began work on Luke’s Achiever of the Year Award Video, and soon enough canapés came out (some awesome honey mustard sausages and smoked salmon things on mini-pancakes) and drinks were offered.
I haven’t drunk for the last couple of weeks due to being Ill and being on painkillers after having a tooth out, but I decided tonight that I wasn’t going to take the painkillers and I’d drink with everyone else.
So I started off with a couple of beers, which lead onto a couple of bottles of wine over dinner and then more wine and beer over a game of poker. As you can imagine the painkillers didn’t interact well with the drink and I was rather sozzled by the end of it all!
We had a nice dinner of prawn and avocado salad, followed by pesto stuffed chicken on roasted vegetables and chocolate mousse for desert
I wish I could tell you more, but right now, I can’t remember…
