I like horror films quite a lot, mainly because the good ones are usually quite creative and inventive being born of twisted nightmares or similar thoughts from the recesses of people conciousness (e.g. Silent Hill).

But I have never been that enthralled by those that use gore for gore’s sake.

Saw III was simply excessive extreeme gore with nothing added to the story line and a waste of £16 to go and see.

That said a few ideas for jigsaw’s puzzles are quite inventive but all in all I could have come up with similar given an hour or two.

The gore is at the same level of that in Hostel but in my view hostel can get away withnit as it’s kind of tounge in cheek – there is an unreal and comedic aspect to it.
